100% Nebbiolo.
Hand harvest. Immediate crushing, fermentation and maceration in stainless steel tanks for about 10 days. Racking and malolactic fermentation in wood of different provenance (French Oak and Slavonian Oak)
and size (228L barriques and barrels up to 5,000L). Aging in wood
for a period of about 19-22 months depending on the parcel of provenance
and vintage. This is followed at the end by the tasting and blending
final blending of all lots and subsequent bottling. This is followed by a period of rest
in the bottle for about 1 year before its release.
WINE CHARACTERISTICS
Bright garnet color, not overly concentrated. Aromas of cherry
under spirits, tobacco leaves, cocoa beans, rose, violet and berry fruit
red. Full and enveloping palate with high amount of tannin, fine but persistent.
LONGEVITY
Long-lived wine. Already appreciable in its early years but with potential for aging for many years; several decades in the best vintages.
