A historic Antinori house wine that, since the 2011 vintage, has been made with grapes from the Tignanello estate. It is composed almost entirely of Sangiovese grapes combined with a small proportion of other complementary varieties. A wine that is a full expression of the quality and elegance of Sangiovese from these areas.
Marchese Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva shows a ruby red color. The nose is striking for the intense notes of ripe red fruit, cherry, currant and raspberry, alternating with delicate floral hints of dog rose, violet and lavender; typical blood sensations combined with pleasant spicy nuances of tobacco, cinnamon and clove, with a sweet note of milk chocolate complete the bouquet. The palate is balanced, with silky, vibrant tannins that lend good freshness and support a savory, lingering finish.
